WHO IS MR SAVETHEBRAIN?
THE STOP — A Sovereign Total Performance is a conceptual and performative artwork conceived by MR SAVETHEBRAIN, an anonymous Off-Grid conceptual artist from Venice, Italy. Beyond a conventional exhibition or collection of paintings, it is an overarching surreal and conceptual artistic universe in which physical Masterpieces, artistic identity, absence, language, architecture, human presence and the artist's own Sovereign Art System become integral elements of a single interconnected Performance. THE STOP is the work itself.
A glitch in contemporary art, THE STOP makes controversy, irony and provocation integral to the artwork itself, challenging conventional expectations of artistic identity, visibility, exhibition and authority. This Conceptual Short Circuit unfolds through three interconnected dimensions: Impossible Visual Conversations, where familiar cultural icons and the visual languages of different Masters meet within the Masterpieces; Impossible Conceptual Conversations, where provocative slogans written by MR SAVETHEBRAIN, deliberately removed from the Masterpieces and relocated within THE STOP, bring the Masters' ideas and conceptual roles into dialogue beyond the images; and Impossible Spatial Conversations, where Masterpiece, Architecture and Human Presence interact, giving rise to THE THIRD SPACE. THE SCRIPT subsequently reveals the Actors, their roles and their relationships, transforming the Viewer's second encounter with the Masterpiece. Controversy is built into the work.
His Masterpieces are autonomous artworks and the visible physical traces of THE STOP. His distinctive visual language is expressed through Italian Neo Pop Art and Italian Pop Surrealism. Through Manual Digital Painting, his Human-Made Post-Digital Fine Art transforms Collective Visual Memory and familiar iconography into surprising, disorienting and disarmingly playful Oniric Compositions, materialized as large-scale physical Masterpieces, shaped by obsessive millimetric precision, irony, cultural displacement and Iconographic Sabotage.
Through wonder, visual seduction and disarmingly playful imagery, MR SAVETHEBRAIN creates encounters where joy and denunciation coexist. Beneath their vibrant surfaces, the Masterpieces confront the contradictions of contemporary life, challenge prejudice and indifference, and invite viewers to rediscover empathy, human dignity and Shared Humanity.
Within THE STOP, MR SAVETHEBRAIN conceives Venice as his Sovereign Urban Art Gallery, a conceptual vision activated through temporary Sovereign Artistic Incursions, during which his physical Masterpieces appear in selected Venetian locations, outside conventional gallery spaces and mass visibility. These unexpected encounters make discovery itself part of the Performance.
